Kids Corner

This little breathing exercise can help your little ones learn how to pause and be aware of what they are feeling. When children are able to identify how they are feel and feel it, without rushing to react, they are practising resiliency in action. This is a simple tool to help build those inner resources.  Practise it at times when your child is relaxed.

Dandelion breathe

Sit up and let your spine grow tall. Imagine a soft dandelion flower.

Take a deep breath in and then blow the air out slowly, sending the seeds into the air!

Repeat three times

I also showed the kids in my kids yoga classes last week how they can make a beautiful little night light with the dandelion puffs!! They are so beautiful, I thought I'd share with you in case you wanted to have a go with your families! So below are some instructions:

1. Get a glass jar.

2. Celloptape a little tea light to the bottom of the jar.

3. Go for a walk in the woods/across the fields and pick lots of dandelion puff's and place them carefully in your jar. making a wish each time.

4. Fill the jar

5. Put by your beside table and enjoy.
